Operations Series: Part One

Formulation + Co-packing: Why a formulation isn’t complete until its produced

For most product development firms, the work ends after the client (you!) is satisfied with the formula. It is then up to you to figure out where and how to produce your product. For those not educated in production operations, this is a daunting task. Finding the right production partner for your brand is as important as the formulation itself. But don’t stress—at JAI Development, our operations arm has you covered.

1. Production Ready Formulation:

Finding the right co-manufacturer begins with a formulation tailored for production. We engineer your product with a production goal in mind. Each manufacturer will have different requirements and we will construct your formulations towards those needs. This avoids post-formulation surprises at the co-packing facility. This also includes support for any third-party testing requirements such as Velcorin challenges, ABV testing, and aluminum tests to name a few.

2. Identifying a Co-manufacturer:

Choosing a co-packer is complicated. Much like goldilocks and the 3 bears, finding the right fit matters. Unlike goldilocks, it's important to find the right fit by developing good relationships. The balance between execution and communication is paramount when choosing the right co-manufacturer. It is important we create the best product possible while maintaining a positive working relationship. Our network of co-packers are at the top of their field, offering various entry levels across a broad spectrum of capabilities. We can utilize these relationships to help your brand succeed with the best partners in the industry.

3. Taking it Further

If a co-manufacturer search is all you are looking for, we can make the introductions leave you on your way. If production operations isn’t your thing, we can take care of the rest. Reach out to info@jaidevelopment.com if you’d like to learn more or wait for Part Two of the Operations series.
